Full Comprehensive Weight Loss Panel
This blood panel measures key hormonal, metabolic, and general health markers that are associated with the body’s ability to regulate weight. Results are intended for review with a qualified healthcare provider.
Specimen: Blood draw at a Labcorp patient service center. Fasting: 4–6 hours required. HSA/FSA eligible | Ages 18+ | Not available in NY, NJ, or RI
Thyroid Hormones The thyroid produces hormones that regulate metabolism and energy use throughout the body. This panel measures:
- TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) — signals the thyroid to produce hormones
- Free T3 — the active thyroid hormone available for use by the body
- Free T4 — the precursor hormone converted into T3
- Reverse T3 — an inactive form of T3; elevated levels may interfere with normal thyroid function
Sex Hormones Reproductive hormones influence body composition, fat distribution, and energy balance. This panel measures:
- DHEA-S — an adrenal hormone that serves as a precursor to testosterone and estrogen
- Free & Total Testosterone — involved in muscle mass, fat metabolism, and energy
- Estradiol (E2) — the primary form of estrogen; plays a role in fat storage and distribution
- Progesterone — a hormone that works in balance with estrogen
Stress Hormones
- Cortisol — the body’s primary stress hormone, produced by the adrenal glands; associated with blood sugar regulation and fat storage, particularly in the abdominal area
Insulin Resistance Markers These markers reflect how the body processes and responds to blood sugar over time:
- Insulin — measures the amount of insulin circulating in the blood
- Hemoglobin A1C — reflects average blood sugar levels over the past 2–3 months
- Ferritin — a protein that stores iron; also acts as an inflammatory marker
- Iron — measures the amount of iron circulating in the blood
General Health & Inflammation Markers
- Complete Metabolic Panel (CMP) — evaluates kidney function, liver function, blood sugar, and electrolyte balance
- Lipid Panel — measures cholesterol and triglyceride levels
- CBC (Complete Blood Count) — assesses red and white blood cells and platelets
- Vitamin D (25-hydroxy) — measures the body’s stored vitamin D levels
- C-Reactive Protein, high sensitivity (hsCRP) — a marker of systemic inflammation
This panel is provided for informational purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Results should always be reviewed with a licensed healthcare provider.
